Hi everyone! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!! This blog post is quite a while in the making, and I'm SO excited to share it with you. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of taking Simone's senior dance photos, and it was such a cool experience. You may recognize the beautiful Simone from my shoot in the fall with her, and we're back at it with a new creative collaboration. She contacted me about wanting some dance photos in a specific style, and there are few things I love more than working with a creative concept and creating a photoshoot out of it, and finally we ended up with this look. She had quite a few stylish and eye-catching outfits, and we created such a cool atmosphere for the shoot. For the first photos you'll see, we shot in our school auditorium (which is really old/antique) in the dark, with me standing on a ladder and her in front of a studio sheet on the stage, in the dark with all of the lights off and me just using my camera flash for lighting. For the later photos you'll see, they were taken backstage in the auditorium, literally just using a bed sheet as a moving background. Thank you to all of the (multiple) friends that helped us with this, from helping set up the studio sheet, arranging the ladder/making sure I didn't fall off ;), to waving a bed sheet around wildly in the background. It was such a cool look, and definitely a new shooting/modeling experience for both of us. Simone is such an amazing and beautiful dancer, and I can't wait to see what she does at Howard University next fall!!!
Be sure to check out all of the photos and enjoy. 📸 🤩 💕⚡️
