Goodbye October, I love you so! October was sweet, as it's obliged to be as my favorite month. This past month held many adventures: racing in two different states, turning 19, getting my nose pierced, being on a red carpet, and much more! This quarter has been challenging in all realms of life but I can feel myself actively growing. It's taught me a lot and I'm excited for the quarter to be over and to reflect on this new season.
Some highlights of this month:
I turned 19 and got to share that day with some of my favorite people! We had a picnic lunch in the park with pizza and cake and I felt wonderfully loved.
I've been shooting so much black and white film for my photography class and while it's testing my patience, I'm learning a lot and appreciating a new side of my love for photography.
I got my nose pierced! A year ago I never would've believed that someday I'd want that but it was a fun idea I'd been considering for a few months and finally went for it on a random Monday night in Savannah.
I ran a cross country 5k PR of 18:24 in Knoxville, Tennessee alongside some super speedy teammates! It was a great way to spend my last day of 18.
One of my photographs was displayed in SCAD's Annual Fine Arts Showcase! This was a super cool opportunity and I was honored that mine got chosen.
My roomie/teammate/bestie Carlotta and I dressed up as "Princess Mia: before and after" for Halloween and went line dancing in costume. 10/10 recommend.
I was blessed with the opportunity to work the SCAD Savannah Film Festival red carpet twice, once being on my birthday! I worked it once as an interviewer and once as a photographer representing SCAD District, where I'm the Features Editor. I got to interview/photograph some amazing celebrities, actors and directors.
Overall, October may be hard to beat, but it always is. I'm so excited to finish up finals and the cross country season and head home in two weeks but until then, enjoy this photo journal!
